One of the key tools in the evacuation process has been the «Poruch» digital service, which allows people to choose temporary accommodation either whilst preparing for evacuation or at the very moment they are leaving.
The «Poruch» platform was developed by the charitable organisation RCC with the support of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and with financial support from the Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund (UHF).
The service makes the relocation process more predictable for people seeking refuge in safer communities. One of the platform’s key advantages is the coordination between all parties involved in the evacuation and resettlement process. Once a person has chosen a place of temporary accommodation, the information becomes available to all relevant services and organisations. This allows them to be directed straight to their chosen accommodation, minimising further movements, delays and wasted time.
The platform brings together communities, government bodies and humanitarian organisations within a single digital space, ensuring faster information sharing and a more coordinated organisation of temporary accommodation. In collaboration with partners, the service continues to be refined to meet current evacuation needs and ensure the effective coordination of aid.
