CO «Relief Coordination Centre» has joined the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) in Ukraine for the period 2026–2027. The organisation will be represented by Yevhen Kolyada.
The Country Humanitarian Team is the highest strategic coordinating body of the humanitarian system in Ukraine, headed by the UN Humanitarian Coordinator. It comprises the heads of UN agencies, international and national humanitarian organisations, as well as representatives of other key actors in the humanitarian sector.
It is at the level of the Country Humanitarian Team that strategic priorities for the humanitarian response are determined, and approaches to the protection of civilians, humanitarian access, localisation, funding and operations in frontline regions are formulated. It is also here that the priorities are agreed upon, forming the basis for the Ukraine Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP) 2026.
The participation of the Co-ordinating Humanitarian Centre in the work of the National Humanitarian Team provides an opportunity to represent the experience of Ukrainian communities and national humanitarian organisations at the level where strategic decisions for the entire sector are taken. It also provides an opportunity to amplify the voice of local organisations within the international humanitarian system and to contribute to shaping the decisions that determine the development of humanitarian response in Ukraine.
