Over 500 people took part in a blood donation drive to boost blood stocks in Kharkiv

In the run-up to and on World Blood Donor Day, more than 500 residents of Kharkiv took part in the ‘220 Volts for Life’ campaign, aimed at replenishing blood stocks.

The campaign was launched by the charitable organisation «Relief Coordination Centre» with the aim of drawing attention to the importance of regular blood donation and the need to constantly replenish blood banks.

At a time when the healthcare system is under increased strain, donated blood remains a critically important resource for carrying out operations, treating the injured and providing care for patients with serious illnesses.

On 13 and 15 June, hundreds of concerned city residents donated blood, helping to support people whose lives depend on timely transfusions. Every donation helps to ensure hospitals have the necessary blood supplies and enhances the healthcare system’s readiness to respond to daily challenges.

The Co-ordinating Humanitarian Centre expresses its gratitude to all donors who joined the initiative and supported the culture of voluntary blood donation.
